The information below should give an overview about the compatibility of data between digital audio consoles from one manufacturer.
That is: I have a session on model XY and want to transfer it to model AB of the same manufacturer, interchanging data is not possible - at least not yet. This is neither complete nor authorized, just personal experiments or experiences!

newer models: PM5D, M7CL, LS9 | scene data: since apr 2011 or look here some libraries can be interchanged by renaming the file extension |
older models: DM2000, DM1000, 01V, ... | scene data: no, libraries?? |

SD series: SD7, SD8, SD9 | sessions: not yet, preset files: yes thus you can transfer your setup containing maybe 40 channels with 1 preset easily |
